QuestionMy just went through some repairs and it sounds like it did before the repairs. The repairs made to it was Knock Sensors both replaced, a fuel injector, and one ignition coil. It sounded great before the coil was replaced but wouldn't run right at all. Now that those have been replaced it has a loud hum at low idle. what do you think it might be?
AnswerCole,
Sounds like they took you to the cleaners !
All those things don't go bad at once !
Toyotas don't have fuel injector or coil problems!
2 Knock sensors don't go bad at the same time.
I cannot even guess where the sound is coming from via emails.
You need to take it to a good Toyota technician (not the place where you had it repaired), keep trying.
It could be a alternator, water pump, or belt, etc. A good mechanic
will use a stethoscope to pinpoint the issue.
Good luck, let me know what they find out.
