Toyota Repair: 91 toyota camry engine has no pep, toyota camry, many different things

I just bought a used 91 toyota camry and at first the ngine had a lot of pep but now I put the pedal all the way down and it is sluggish and sounds rough.   What could be causing this?

To answer this I need to know a lot more. Is the check engine light on? Doe's it do this all the time or when the engine is cold or warm?

Many different things can be causing this. Without additional
specific information, its only guesswork.
