Toyota Repair: Rear Brakes Toyota Sienna, rear brakes, toyota sienna

I have received an estimate in the area of about 5-6 hundred dollars to replace my rear brakes, calipers, etc... is this astronomical or should I try replacing them myself.  If so can you direct me to some good materials in helping me change brakes.

I would go somewhere else, preferably a toyota dealer and get another estimate, toyota calipers very seldom need to be replaced and I have no idea what else they are recommending but in most cases replacing the brake pads and resurfacing the rotors is all that's needed at about a cost of $225 at most dealers.
