Toyota Repair: 96 rav4 ignition switch removal, release pin, pastic

MY  96 rav4 ignition keywill turn only to the acc position.  It goes no further, i have tried spare keys, all do the same .  How do I remove the ignition switch for replacement? Thanx.

There is a release pin on the lock housing that can be pressed in as long as the switch is in the ACC position, remove the pastic covers surrounding the ignition switch, get the new switch from the dealer so you can see where the release pin is located on the housing. with the pion pushed in and the key in acc the key will pull the cylinder out of the housing.
