Toyota Repair: 2001 Toyota Sienna A/C bug, r 134 freon, hot weather
QuestionMy A/C compressor drops out at times but when the clutch is engaged, it works great. It happens at any temp setting that calls for cool. Does not seem linked to hot weather but more random failure. After the car rests for a short time, it works fine again.
AnswerPossibly low on freon, get a can of R-134 freon at any autoparts or large department store, it comes with a valve and connecting hose, follow the instructions and add some freon, if the problem goes away then there is a leak in the system which will eventually have to be diagnosed to repair the problem permanently.
