Toyota Repair: 99 toyota will start but not drive, toyota camry, transmission problem

Question
I have a 99 Toyota camry. I was driving it the other day and it just stopped driving. The car didn't stop running but when i pressed the accelerator the engine just reved. there has been a clicking noise from under the hood for a couple of weeks, i thought that it might be the timing belt.
please help

If it's an automatic transmission you should check the fluid level first, if the fluid is ok then it's probably a serious transmission problem, it it's amanual transmission then the clutch may be slipping, in either case have a repair shop look at it.
