2.0ltr engine runs good on idle but surges when you try to accelerate

Hi Nigel, I have spend a lot of time on this problem. Have no solution for that as I do not work on Toyotas only. I suspect the ECU. If can get same vehicle (friend may be) you can swap them just for testing. This is happening to many Toyota cars.
Let me know if you do somthing.
