Toyota Repair: cressida gas pedal tension, fuel injection system, throttle linkage

Greetings Greg, I recently bought a 1986 cressida. Is there a remedy for a tense gas pedal? Regards, Joe

Check the connection from the pedal to the fuel injection system. There could be a kink in the line, or the floormat could just be bunching up against the bottom of the pedal. Also, a little grease at where the throttle linkage meets the plenum might help.
