Toyota Repair: Toyota camry1995 ODBI or ODBII, obd ii, toyota camry

What type of ODB is in 1995 camry because I am thinking of buying a diagnostic tool to read the engin codes and I am not sure if ODBII can be used on my 1995 camry?

OBD II did not start until 1996 unless it was a model with a newly designed engine for that model year.  Look under your dash for a black 16 pin connector. Toyota Camry usually mounts it behind the "coin pocket" left of the steering column.  

If it is OBD I the codes are pretty simple to check by jumping TE1 and T1 in the grey diagnostic connector under the hood.
