Toyota Repair: hilux, vacuum gauge, man check

i have a 94 hilux dc ute. it is a carby 4 cylonder. lately i drive an once i reach 3rd gear it feels like its is choking and starts hopping down the road. what do you suggest the problem is???????

Sorry Auzzy! We have the 4runner (Hilux) here & our versions of the 22r/2rz/3rz in North America ditched the Asian carbs in the late 80's. :) Actually... Our RZ blocks never had carbs ever.

Aside from that just check al the normal things man.
Check compression / leak-down
Stick a vacuum gauge on it to check vacuum in the itnake manifold
Check ingition timing, any plug/coil wires
Replace any distributor caps & rotors (if equipped)
Replace the plugs. NGK or Denso ONLY.

And check fuel. I've no idea on that one so, you're on your own. :)
