Toyota Repair: Clutch System, clutch setup, clutch system
QuestionI'm having problems with an 86 toyota truck, the clutch went out and i replaced the master cylinder cbecause it was leaking and the slave cylinder because we tried to bleed it and the slave cylinder would not move, this worked for about 12 hours and then stopped working again. I'ved tried bleeding the system several time times and it just won't pressurize, it feels like it's going to but the pedel goes soft again. is the pressure plate bad
Answeryou have to see if the fork is moving. If not, its a hydrolic problem.Check for leaks in the hose and line to the trans.
Have some one step on the clutch and watch from undernerath, NOT RUNNING.
If the fork at the trans moves freely and theres no pressure on the pedal, then the trans will need to come out to inspect the clutch setup.
