Toyota Repair: driver door handle does not open the door, connecting link, door handle

My daughters 91 corolla front drivers side door handle worked when she went to school this morning but tonight it stoped working.  How can I fix it? Thanks for your help.

You didn't say whether it's the inside or outside handle but in either case the inner door panel has to be removed to inspect where the problem is, in most cases it's simply a connecting link that has come off due to a broken plastic connecting clip at the lock.
