Toyota Repair: Differential Fluid Change, good luck jack, toyota 4runner

Question
I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner Automatic 4x2 with 56k miles.  I have never gotten a differential fluid change?  Is this needed and at what intervals?

Answer
Unless you do some heavy work with the truck, like towing or getting the rear end wet (from say putting a boat into the water) your fluid can last the life of the vehicle.
Having it changed is not a bad thing if it will give you some piece or mind.
Keeping up with the fluid level is probably more important.
