Toyota Repair: engine lurchs, celica gt, fuel regulator

HI, I have a 96 celica gt 2.4 auto. WHenever I back of the throttle to slow down, the car lurchs like the engine cuts out and restarts
Any ideas? Thanks

Check eng light on?, vac hose disconnected?, TPS ok? Fuel filter been changed?  Fuel pressure ok? Fuel regulator may be it.  You don't here a clunk like a motormount busted?  Temp ok,heats up and stays 1/3 to 1/2 way after driving.  If it is just doing it a little this is normal, fuel cut, a lot, regulator,pump, filter. check this stuff and see what you find.
