Toyota Repair: 1994 4 runer, coolant levels, engine coolant

Dear Ted,
I own a 94 4Runner,About 3 weeks ago My idle started running high. It runs about 1200 rpm.
Normally it idled about 850 rpms. It does not kick down after engine warms up. I changed the pcv valve and it did not change the problem. It runs a 3.0 engine. Coolant levels are full..Is there something to look for?

The idle speed is adjustable, there is an idle adjustment screw on the throttle body, try to adjust it and see if it helps, make sure that the throttle cable is not hanging up and that the cruise control cable is not holding the throttle open slightly.
