Is my new front motor mount for a Toyota Camry 1992-96 defective?

It could be defective. There are a few ways to test your new front motor mount.

Test the rubber bushing for flexibility. The rubber bushing in your front motor mount should be flexible enough to move when pressure is applied. If the bushing is cracked, brittle, or shows signs of excessive wear, it's likely defective.

Test the alignment of the mount with a level. The front motor mount should be aligned with the engine and the frame of your vehicle. If the mount is not aligned properly, it could cause the engine to shift and vibrate excessively during acceleration and deceleration.

Test the firmness of the mount with a pry bar. The front motor mount should be firm enough to resist movement when you apply pressure with a pry bar. If the mount moves too easily or if there's excessive play between the mount and the engine, it could be defective.

Test the mount under driving conditions. Take your vehicle for a short test drive and listen for any unusual noises or vibrations. If you feel or hear anything out of the ordinary, the front motor mount could be defective and need to be replaced.

If you can't test your front motor mount for defects yourself, take your vehicle to a mechanic for an inspection.
