Tractor Repair: Nuffield, thrust bearings, steering gearbox

Good Morning
I have an olds Nuffield 465 working tractor. I have noticed recently that the steering is getting very tight. Do you have any suggestions for me. Thank you

Hello,

  First determine if the problem is in the steering gearbox or in the front axle.  Jack it up so both front wheels are off the ground and check the axle spindles and thrust bearings.  If everything is OK, then the steering gearbox will have to be rebuilt.
