Tractor Repair: kubota bx 2200, kubota bx 2200, sorry cant

It will crank but wont stay on. If I hold the key on "start" and keep the starter going it will run. You can even increase or decrease the throttle, but as soon as you let go  it turns back of. Tried putting wd 40 same results.

Good question not had this one before !
Could be a fuel problem have you serviced the filter lately.
is fuel flowing ok to the injectors.

What method is used to stop the engine is it the same key/switch that starts the engine ??? if so there may be a problem with the connections here! letting go of the starter key may be stopping the engine prematurely.
on modern machines there is a solenoid that shuts the fuel off.
does the manual say any thing.
Sorry cant think of any thing else at the moment.
