Tractor Repair: Lawn Tractor, lawn tractor, fuel supply

I was mowing the lawn and the engine just died on me. The engine will still turn over but will not crank. When you turn it over it kinda shakes, but i know it is not locked up cause it turns over. It has oil in it and gas. When the mower died it started shakeing and then came to a halt and the engine started knocking as it died. Please help me if you can.

Clint it could have been a fuel problem and the engine being hot can cause a knock.
You will need to see if it will start now it is cold check the fuel supply to the carbie.
If it isall ok I am not sure where to start Clint pull the plug or plugs if it has more than 1 cylinder check to see what they look like fouled or burnt or if it has run lean (lack of fuel) the plugs may be a whitish colour.
Other than this Clint I am not sure what to say.
