Triumph Repair: spitfire restoration, spitfire, restoration suggestion

I want to get my husbands spitfire restored for his birthday.  I was just going to get the process going and then he could be involved in exactly what he wanted done.   I think it is around a 1975 to 1979.  Where do I start.     Interior, exterior, engine?      Thank you,

That's a tough question to answer.   It'll all depend upon the car, and what your husband has always "wanted" to change about it.  

Maybe one idea is to get him a gift certificate from whichever supplier he's been getting repair parts from, then letting him pick where to start.   

I'm sure he has a wish list in his mind already.
