I needto know  how much pressure the fuel pump szhould produce

Hi Laura,
You will have to refresh my memory of what kind of car we are talking about. However most every carburetor fitted British car uses 1.5 to 3 PSI for fuel pressure. Fuel injected cars use high pressure but that depends again on what kind of fuel injection system is on the car.
