Triumph Repair: 76 1500, oil grease, brake fluids

Is there a particular brake fluid I should be using in rebuilding the braking system. I understand that the rubber may be broken down if the incorrect fluid goes in... Thanks.

The recommendation is traditional brake fluids, not the newer synthetics or silicons.

All fluids (oil, grease, brake, antifreeze, etc) get debated perpetually as to whether the new is good/better/worse than what it replaces.
Ask 3 people, you'll get three answers.
