Triumph Repair: 75 Spitfire, shift forks, stick shift

I am looking for the stick shift shaft for the 75 spitfire
I can find about everything but the shaft.  When I bought the car they had a boot over the shaft and after I purchased the car and was on the road the shaft broke.  Apparently they tried to weld the shaft with no success.  Anyway I need one badly

If you are referring to the shift rail the runs forward /aft that moves the shift forks, Victoria British shows a part number of 2-8140 but I don't know if it is available, you will have to contact them. 1-800-255-0088
