Triumph Repair: engine quits to idle, speed operation, low speed

Question
Everytime I rev the engine to 2000-3000 rpm, it almost stalls out and goes back
to idle.  This happens even after the engine get warm.  It drove great and then I
went 2 days without driving and this occurred.  I don't know what could have
caused this or where to begin to remedy this.  Any ideas?

It sounds kind of like a fuel problem, although since it continues to idle then the car is getting enough fuel for low speed operation... have you checked the timing to see if it jumped?  Check the distributor and see if it's loose in the  block.
