what is the recommended replacement belt for a '74 1500

A quick peek found one supplier (Quinton Hazel) lists the fan belt as a "QBA-1088".  It's the same belt as used on the 1500cc MG Midget (parts guys sometimes can find MG listings).

Other suppliers list it as:
GATES Part # 7435
ACDELCO Part # 15435

Or you can have the local parts guy look it up by dimensions... HC41 3/8" x 44 1/8"

Keep in mind, this is for a car with original crank/waterpump/alternator pulleys.  If any have been changed/"tweaked"... you'll need to keep looking.
