QuestionHi
I have a vauxhall corsa 1.2 16v 2000 X-reg, its a carberator model
I have a couple problems:
1- My car starts fine but when i first pull away, mainly in the mornings or when the car is cold, i have no power whatsoever. When i put my foot on the accelerator the revs drop below 900revs and it chugs. Havent got a clue whats wrong, if i let it idle for 5mins it seems to be fine.Just want to know the cause of this if known
2-Sometimes when i am accelarating(after i have driven it for a while, and car is warmed up) the car feels like it wants to cut out and the engine light comes on but when i lift off the accelerator the light goes off and then i can drive again. This problem is most prominent when going up slight inclines but also when on flat road.
Your answers to these questions would greatly be appreciated as i am getting fustrated now and its costing me a bomb!
Thanks
AnswerGimme a photo of your engine, and the make and model of the carburettor so I know what I'm dealing with... (

I'm not making any diagnosis but this is what I think
I'm thinking of manifold leak, vacuum leak (LIKELY) , worn jets, low compression (hope not)
- get me the engine bay pic so I know exactly what head and block you have and get me the serial number model number and whatever is written on the carburettor.
