UK Car Repair: peugeot diesel not starting, hault, turbo diesel

I have a peugeot turbo diesel 405 model 1990 basically the car stopped just came to a hault on the road have tried to start the car but it justs turns over without firing can you help p,lease

It is quite difficult to offer paper help in a case like this. The battery is good, so the most likely cause is lack of fuel, it can be; a blocked filter, a faulty primary pump, a faulty ECU, etc etc.  Can you break open a fuel delivery line to an injector and with someone activating the starter see if there is fuel delivery.
