UK Car Repair: AC units in 1978 MGB, older cars, ac systems

I am interested in putting a A/C unit in my 1978 MGB.  Is this even possible, and if so, where do you recommend does the work.  I live in Austin, Texas, United States

Anything is possible, but it is not advisable.  The engine just does not have the power to drive a regular AC unit,  and it would be rather tricky fitting all of the components in the restricted space.  I recently heard of some type of alternative to the conventional system that had been developed for older cars, unfortunately I can't remember where I read it -probably on the web. Search for AC systems and see what you can come up with.
