Hello Barry;  I'm not familiar with your car BUT, many cars now have the filter in the tank as part of the primary Pump assembly.  That being said, diesel cars would normally have a second filter before the intake.  Do you have a replacement filter?  You should be able to see how it fits and thereby where!
