UK Car Repair: corsa 1.1 x reg, windscreen wipers, switch connections

hi, my daughter has a corsa and her windscreen wipers are not working and then they are. can you please help as we have no clue

It is very difficult to say, but intermittant faults like this usually happen because of a bad connection, switch, connections etc, so check them.  Also if the blades are old and soft they can offer too much resistance and overheat the motor, lift them from the glass and see if they operate properly.
