UK Car Repair: citroen ax fanbelt, citroen ax, many thanks

i have a an l reg citroen ax with a squeaky fanbelt, how can i remedy this ? Many thanks

It may just be loose, if so adjust it, or, it may be dry and old, if so change it, or, there may be a bad bearing in one of the driven components causing the belt to slip, to find out you have to remove the belt and see if everything turns free.  Hopefully it just needs adjusting, and NOT TOO TIGHT.
