UK Car Repair: Break Lights, headlamp switch, headlights

Hi,
My break lights work perfectly until I switch on my headlights, when they stop working. Any idea of the cause and way of resolution?

I would suspect that the headlamp switch is broken as I imagine that the lamps still light when you depress the brake and the marker function of the lamps is the only part that is going out.

Replace the lighting switch, not all that uncommon on your car as I have found that replacing it cures a range of maladies.
