Volkswagen Repair: Front Seat, vw jetta, front seat

I have a 2001 VW Jetta. The front seat will not move forward or back. The cable seems loose.

Your right, there is a cable underneath the seat that pulls a pin in and out to adjust and position the seat. It is one assembly. You will have to remove the seat to replace the cable pin assembly. Just unscrew the stop at the front of the seat and remove the plastic covers in the back of the seat and slide it out the back.
