Volkswagen Repair: 79 rabbit wont start, fuel pump relay, electrical coil

no spark on one side. motor just installed, had starting problems prior and electrical.motor is  from 90 fox and turns free 17,000 miles org .electrical  problems at fuses wipers,turn signals,fuel pump ect. ect.

Spark on one side means one cyl gets spark and others don't? Start with the distributor. You have points ignition? Check points or Halls sender in distributor if it is electrical. Coil is next to  check. Is the fuel pump working? The fuel pump relay is connected to the ignition. If it is bad, you won't get spark. Are you  getting power to the coil or module?
