Volkswagen Repair: hood lever, auto repair shop, volkswagen gti

I have a 2003 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T and when I pulled the lever to open the hood forward, it broke off.  Is there any simple way to repair this, or do I need to take it to the dealership?

Erin, Thank you for your question.  If your VW is still under warranty then yes you should go back to the Dealer for repairs.  If you are out of warranty then you probably should take it to an auto repair shop that deals with imports and esp VW.
