Volkswagen Repair: Jettta Carat heater core - with A/C or without A/C, heater core, jetta

Hi,

I own a 1990 Jetta Carat.

If my A/C has been dead for years, do I have to purchase the heater core for a vehicle that is equipped with A/C?  There is a big price difference.

Somebody is taking you for a ride... the heater core is the same for all 1990 Jetta's and Golf's, only the labour is more for a car with A/C.

Buy the heater core from someone that tells you that they are all the same.
