Volvo Repair: Cracked shift selector grip, knob assembly, shifter knob

I have a 1996 960 wagon with an automatic transmission.  
The rubber grip on the shift selector has cracked. What can
I do?

   So sorry for the late reply. I had a surgery and will be out for a while.
  Relace it only. There are two, sometimes one. allen set screws that hold the whole knob on. They are at the bottom of the knob and hard to see. Pull those and replace entire shifter knob assembly.
