Volvo Repair: 1995 960 wagon radiator and fan blown, radiator, radiators

My niece loaned my car, approx 105K mi, took on road trip. Shes is now in remote W.Tx with cracked radiator and broken fan.  what cudve caused this and recommendations/costs for repair please!!!!! thanks for your help, annee

Annee, Radiators go bad went they want too.  They are plastic and can let go anytime.  Same with the fan.  They seize up.  Unfortunately both repairs are rather expensive.  Around $275 for the radiator and the fan is up there in price too.  Not sure.  Roger
