a warning light went off that sort of looks like a light bulb ...what does it mean?

  Judy, model and year would be helpful for future reference. Fortunately, I know this one. It is your bulb monitor, meaning you have an esterior light out somewhere. Oh, warning lights do not go off, they turn on, unless it's a really noisy one.VBG  Off is good, on is bad.
