Volvo Repair: Windshield Wiper Motor, windshield wiper motor, wiper arms
Question<font-size=10+> 1995 940 (not turbo) I am trying to figure out if I need to replace the windshield wiper motor, is it just one motor or is there one for each wiper? Because one of the wipers is working fine, the other over-extends itself or often does not move at all. I also can't figure out how to get the panel off to get to the motor or I could have probably would have been able to answer my own question. I have just recently started working on cars so I apologized if this is a ridiculously stupid question. Thank you! :)
AnswerIts not stupid. The wiper arm mechanism is most likely the culprit. You need to remove the 2 wiper arms first. Then there are 2 screws on each side of the panel and then another one right in the middle of the firewall. Now remove the panel and access the motor and linkage. Roger
