Volvo Repair: 04.5 s 40 air funk, cabin filter, u da man

When we turn air on we get that moldy smell. Volvo claims a new "system cleaner" is in the works, What can I do until then. I assume a cabin filter exists. But I cant find it, service manual missing. If filter is exchangable how do I clean the guts of mold? U da man! thanks Mike

Mike, remove the passenger foot panel and its right there.  Pull the cover down. The filter will be there.  No you cant clean it.  get a new one.  You can try Frigi fresh.  That helps for a while.  The only thing else would be an Evap cleaning/replacement but that is very labor intensive.  The dash has to come out, etc.  Roger
