I have two question,1: the gas gage doesn't work on my V70. Could this be a fuse or something worse? 2: when I turn the ignition to start the car right when I get in it it doesn't always turn on, I have to turn the key back and try sometimes more then once, other times it starts right away. I just got this Volvo used so It might just be my fault since it's a new car or is it?

Eric, Unfortunately this year is the worst year for the XC70.  The gas gauge can only be 2 things.  The sender in the tank or the actual gauge in the instrument cluster.  I have never seen the cluster gauge fail.  As far as the key, it may be getting weak.  There is a chip in the key that communicates to the immobilizer.   I would have the car scanned at a Volvo specialist shop.  Roger
