Volvo Repair: child safety locks, mechanical lever, child locks

Question
how do I turn off the child locks so my kids can get out of the back seat by themselves.  The manual says there is a switch in the door jamb, but I looked everywhere and can't find it.

The switch, actually a small mechanical lever, should be very close to the door latch itself. It will be on the door, not the body side of the jamb. You will probably see a small oval slot with a little knob that protrudes only a little above the surface.
