Volvo Repair: new s80, gasket seal, oil leak

Hello.  I have a new 07 S80 3.2 with 6400 miles and it has developed an oil leak.  The dealer tells me its the chemical gasket seal for the oil pan.  I'm not only amazed I have this trouble at 6400 miles but I have lost my confidence for the car after a substantial outlay of cash.  Any thoughts would be appreciated and many thanks.

Kelvin, the good news is that its a free repair.  Bad news is that no matter how hard they try, the S80 is not my favorite Volvo.  They have gotten better over the years but they still are not the best.  Hang in there until the warranty is up and then press on to a better Volvo like the S60 or new C30.  Roger
