Volvo Repair: 85 740 door lock, doorlocks, lock switch

the electric doorlocks do not work on the 740 i just bought. the key turns the locks but the others dont work. its like you are useing the valet key. there must be a relay somewhere and i would guess you start there. the fuse is good thanks doug

Doug, check the lock relay behind the ashtray and see if its clicking when you push down on the knob when you are sitting in the drivers seat with the door closed.  If not there may be an issue with the master lock switch inside the door panel that goes around the lock cylinder.  Roger
