Volvo Repair: 04-05 V70R Vs. 05-06 S60R reliability, v70r, independent shops

Question
Considering purchase 04/05 v70R or 05/06 S60R. All w/average-low/appropriate mileage.  Your advice on which you prefer and which will give less or has shown to have less headaches? I've always own Volvos (kept for 10+ years with above 200K) and do my own maintenance and repairs but am nervous about forums on the subject of recurring transmission/TCM failures = repeat replacements & $$$; do later 2000's still have this problem?

both s60r and v70r  are good .prefer v70r more space but  not too many problems well future is going more  with computer electrical repairs  but like you know Volvo if you take care of it .if you buy any newer car go with Volvo extended or certified warranty  which will help you cover some big repairs like transmission and many other parts .go with warranty if you like to keep the car for long time tcm and transmission don't go bad so far i know  problem that people have they take car to independent  shops  and they don't have correct diagnostic most problems get fixed with software update do trans flush every 30 miles is good
