Volvo Repair: overdrive relay, minites, ashtray

hello rob thanks for your help a while back with my feul presure regualor  my question is where is my relay for overdrive    arrow on the dash comes on when i start and its exactly the reverese of what it should be its not in overdrive at all  then after a couple of times pressing on and off  it engages properly after a few minites

Hi Lou,
Relay is located behind the ashtray. Should be taller white relay.Remove the tray directly above the ashtray also to make removal/installation easier.There is a cover around the cigarette lighter, simply pull that off. Remove the two screws and the tray will pull right out.When the arrow is on the overdrive is locked out.When the light is off the overdrive will be allowed to function.
