Volvo Repair: Volvo S60 Shudder, volvo dealer, volvo s60
QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
I have a 2001 Volvo S60 2.0T Automatic with 75km. When driving, there is a slight miss/jerk as well as shudder that occurs every few minutes and lasts for a second or so.Can be felt by driver and front passenger. Shudder is not necessarily at any particular speed- appears at any time.Appreciate your advice on what the cause could be.
ANSWER: you have to do first read diagnostic fault codes in computer
you can have bad transmission control or something in engine without fault codes i cant help or give you any info

QUESTION: Volvo dealer scanned diagnostic codes- no errors found. They suggested it could be a failing coil and that I should continue driving until it really fails, which is when they will be able to confirm what the issue is from the fault codes! Meanwhile, it continues to missfire/shudder and I am concerned about possibility of further damage from driving it this way. Any suggestions greatly appreciated...
AnswerTHE VOLVO DEALER NEEDS TO ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM IF IS ALL THE TIME IT IS HARD TO SAY WHAT YOU CAN HAVE WITHOUT FAULT CODES IF IS ALL THE TIME TAKE IT BACK TO VOLVO DEALER IF ONLY AT TIMES THAN YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM AND LET SOME MECHANIC DRIVE THE CAR FOR COUPLE DAYS
