Volvo Repair: 2002 v70 XC AWD turbo wagon 76k miles, v70 xc, interior pieces

What is your opinion on the above car - we own a 1994 850 turbo wagon 156k miles and love it but need to upgrade to many things starting to go on it. I read two bad reports to avoid this car because it's AWD. Why? Is this true? The V70 I found looks great and I really like it.

Scott, If it wasnt AWD then I would say get it.  This thing is a nightmare when it breaks.  Driveshafts, angular gears that cost over 4K.  If you got an extended warranty then I would say buy it.  At least you would be covered for a while.  Stupid interior pieces also break prematurely.  Look for a non AWD and you will be glad that you did.  Trust me on this one.  Your 94 is a great car but I agree that its time to upgrade.  Roger
