Volvo Repair: 1999 C70 Reliability?, window regulators, volvo c70
QuestionHello,
I'm thinking of buying a 1999 Volvo C70 convertible but I'm wondering how reliable they are. This one has 58,000 miles and looks in really nice condition, they are asking $12,600. I commute a long distance (100 miles round trip a day) and am wondering how reliable this car might be for me?
Thanks,
Kevin
AnswerKevin, personally I would stay away from them. They have lots of quirks and when they get older things start falling apart. The tops suck, the window regulators go bad and its a 750 dollar repair. They also have a terrible ride. Nots a smooth ride like all other Volvos do. I would look for a S70. They are more reliable and not that bad on maintenance and repair. If you can find a nice 98 with low miles, that would be your best bet in my opinion. Good luck. Roger
